Cloth is draped over palm trunk forms and cast. The forms come out; the shape of the trunks stays.
Like every studio project it starts as ink drawings: palms, then stumps, then draped cloth. Then comes the material study: burnt orange cloth, datecrete, and the palm trunk itself.
